     Picture Main Street is the City of Northampton's name for the project to replace the obsolete underground utilities downtown and redo the streetscape to become more bike and pedestrian-friendly.
     There are lots of conversations about various aspects. None of them effectively takes into account that large numbers of bicyclists are coming to town from the two long-distance rail trails that intersect right in downtown. 

Here's my one-pager about coming wave of visitors--who btw, will be coming largely by bike directly without their cars.
